Club Championship is RSCs way of finding who the fastest male female in each category within the Club. 

QUALIFICATIONS TO RACE:

  • Open to all financial members of Ruapehu Ski Club
  • Individuals can win a championship event more than once.
  • All events must have three entries to be valid.
  • If racing is abandoned before the two courses have been attempted by all competitors in a division, results will be taken from the one completed run.
  • For the Senior Championship, entries from JUNIOR members under 16 must be approved by the Race Committee
  • Any entry may be declined at the discretion of the Race Committee or the Race Organisers.

UNDER TEN CHAMPIONSHIP (Boys and Girls)

  • Open to Junior members aged under 10 years old on 1 July. 
  • Slalom and Giant Slalom combined time.

UNDER 13 CHAMPIONSHIP (Boys and Girls)

  • Open to Junior members aged 10 to 13 years old on 1 July. 
  • Slalom and Giant Slalom combined time.

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (UNDER 16) (Boys and Girls)

  • Open to Junior members aged under 16 years old on 1 July. 
  • Slalom and Giant Slalom combined time.

MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP (Men and Women)

  • Open to Senior members 30 years and over on 1 July.  Handicap race on age groups of five years.
  • Giant Slalom and Slalom combined Handicap result.

SNOWBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP (Men and Women)

  • Open to members of any age.
  • Giant Slalom two runs combined result.

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (Men and Women)

  • Open to members aged 16 years and over on 1 July. 
  • Slalom and Giant Slalom combined result.

VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIP (Men and Women)

  • Open to members aged 60 years and over on 1 July. 
  • Giant Slalom combined result. Handicap. 

 

INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP (Men and Women)

  • Open to members aged 16 years and over on 1st July 2012 EXCEPT those who have placed FIRST or SECOND in any single or combined RSC championship race, or have previously won an Intermediate Championship. 
  • Giant Slalom and Slalom combined result. 

ROY WILSON MEMORIAL TROPHIES  (Men and Women)

  • Open to members of any age EXCEPT those who have placed FIRST, SECOND or THIRD in any Senior or Junior single or combined RSC championship race OR have won the Intermediate Championship or the Roy Wilson Trophy.
  • Giant Slalom result.

MIKE QUINN MEMORIAL TROPHY and Miniature

  • Presented by Marion Quinn (1995)  (Trophy originally donated by T.W. Mitchell 1937 as Ngauruhoe Cup)
  • Awarded to most improved RSC Snow Squad member who is aged under 13 years old on 1st July .

 

JASON WINTER MEMORIAL TROPHY and Miniature

  • Presented by Barry Winter (1996).  (Trophy originally donated by Sir Willoughby and Lady Norrie 1954)
  • Awarded to most improved  RSC Snow Squad member who is aged under 16 years old on 1st July .
