“With a wide range of countries and cultures
spanning the Asian spectrum there’s plenty of
options to get your best Asian inspired costume
together and dance the night away.”
RAL is this year offering a
2017 Platinum
Season Pass
at both Whakapapa and Turoa, valid
for “all ages 19 through 69.998”.
The price is $1498 and provides top of the hill
parking, access to First Tracks and night skiing
at Whakapapa.
Turoa general manager
Chris Thrupp
has
resigned and has left RAL.
Thrupp had held the post since 2001 and
managed several major projects most notably the
$20 million Turoa developments in 2007.
These included the High Noon Express six-
seater, the Alpine Café, the plaza redevelopment
and major snowmaking upgrades.
A 13 second RAL video
taken from inside the
cab of a groomer moving powder snow on the High
Noon Express trail at Turoa has been seen 16,000
times worldwide.
Cafe 39 South at Owhango near Ruapehu
,
popular with skiers and snowboarders on their
way to or from the snow, has closed.
The café was open for six years but had to close
when the property owner did not extend the lease.
The deadline for the December Bulletin will be
Friday November 17th
.
All items should be with the Editor in Wellington
by then.
