What: Bridge to Nowhere Mt Bike Weekend

When: 27^th-28^th February 2021

Where @ RSC Turoa Lodge- Stay Friday and Saturday nights at the club.  Or just Saturday if you have limited time. Self catering or dine out in Ohakune

It doesn’t matter how fit or at what level you’re at, this weekend is purely social and aimed at getting out and exploring what summer opportunities are to be found in the Ruapehu area. There will be something for everyone who can ride a bike. Young and old. Hardcore shredder/ adventurer to novice Sunday rider.

Saturday- will be focused on local Ohakune riding with options to ride the sedate, but very scenic Old Coach Road. Good for getting warmed up. Great family fun and there are options to get picked up at the trail end or if your feeling fit ride back to town.

Sunday- For those who are feeling adventurous- Drive to Raetihi Holiday Park (Bridge to Nowhere Trail) a group shuttle to Rautiti the start of the Mountain to Sea Cycle trail 35km (Grade 3) We will ride through some stunning scenery and forgotten history. Ending at Mangapurua Landing and passing the famed Bridge to Nowhere. A jet boat Shuttle will be arranged that is especially designed to take bikes. The next stage is down the Whanganui River to Pipiriki where another shuttle bus will take us back to our cars in Raetihi.  The combined shuttles loom to be around $150/ person. Spaces will be limited so get in quick and book your spot.

If you’d like a more relaxing day there will be plenty of other options around Ohakune to explore.
